In 2015, working from their respective offices in Houston and Douala, Djamna
and Fankeng, two Americans close friends, arguing about how they should contribute to
the development of their motherland country, believed that if they create
something with passion, it would be loved in return. They knew that what came
out of their intellect that day will create special moments, shared moments, family moments if they implemented it.
In fact, in their minds, they weren’t thinking about making money first. They were thinking more about the smile they will put on those families faces, the foods they can manufacture and sell so cheap that even a pauper in Douala can afford it. They decided to partner and create a joint venture company.
In 2021, Bio Foods Industries SARL is formed with the intention to realize what was thought six years ago by two friends: The achievement of ever-greater food innovation that will contribute to this and future generations in all the nations around the globe in general, and in Cameroon in particular. With Bio Foods Industries, they pledged that manufacturing food products will not just be a simple known process but rather an art form.
In 2022, they decided to unroll their first mayonnaise manufacturing plant in the heart of Douala, Cameroon and formulated their first product: Classico mayonnaise. Like all the best recipes, Classico mayonnaise is a perfect combination of premium ingredients blended in just the right order. From that instant, an inspiration was implemented.
Now they are facing one big challenge: Are they going to be able to realize that dream in this regression and slow-down economy? Well, the future will tell.
